Police Declare IPOB sponsor, wanted

The Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command, on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, has declared wanted one Aderemi Kayode Adebayo, aged 44 years, over his involvement in the treasonous activities of the outlawed Indigenous People of Baiafra ( IPOB) in Imo State and by extension in Nigeria.

Adebayo, according to investigation, is a native of Owo in Ondo State but resident in Aka Street, Akabo in Ikeduru local government of Imo State, where he has been living with his family for over 10 years.

Adebayo is a major sympathizer, supporter, and financier of IPOB cause and activities in Imo state.

IPOB is a tribalistic organization with an unconventional separatist agenda that threatens the Nigerian unity. For this reason, the organization was outlawed by the Nigerian government in 2017 with its activities proscribed across the country. Anyone found as a member or supporter of the organization is liable to 25 years in imprisonment by the Nigerian constitution.

According to reports, Adebayo, a building contractor, is a major business investor in Imo state

According to Police investigation, Adebayo was reported to have been one of the backbones of IPOB. He was reputed to be a major financier of the outlawed organization in Imo state, sponsoring its rebellious activities against the Nigerian government.

The police urge the public who may have knowledge about the whereabouts of the wanted suspect to report it to the nearest police station.
