Police have issued a wanted notice for Salaudeen Babatunde regarding alleged involvement in homosexuality.

Salaudeen Babatunde, 32, has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force, Area F Lagos state division, for alleged engagement in homosexual activities.

In a statement, the Department of State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), quoting an intelligence report, explained that Salaudeen Babatunde was allegedly caught by his uncle, Musashiru Salaudeen, and his family with one Lukman Fashipe, who was alleged to be his partner, while engaging themselves indecently as fellow men.

According to the information made available to the law enforcement agency, as reported by his uncle and his entire family here in Nigeria, he was caught by his uncle engaging in the act with another man in Lagos State, which is against the law of the land and attracts imprisonment judgment if found guilty.

This led to his uncle and the entire family calling on him to desist from such unbecoming behavior, which was against their family’s religious convictions. The family lodged a complaint with the police on March 12, 2025.

The police have thus declared him wanted, having gathered that he also has a partner in Lagos and in other states.

According to our findings, Salaudeen Babatunde was invited by the police following a report lodged by his uncle and family, which he declined to respond to. A visit to his residence at Room 2, K9 Section, Mopol 20 Barracks, Area F, Ikeja, Lagos, ensued, resulting in him being declared wanted as of March 21, 2025.

The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State, has issued a declaration seeking Salaudeen Babatunde, a 32-year-old man from Oyo State, resident in Lagos, who is dark in complexion and stands at 5’7″ tall, in connection with an investigation into homosexuality.
