ACC John Attah Onoja Bags CRAN Award as Most Proactive Crime Fighter of the Year
The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has honoured the Commander of the NSCDC Mining Marshals, Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) John Attah Onoja, with the prestigious Most Proactive Crime Fighter of the Year Award.

The recognition was presented at the 2025 CRAN Awards and Lecture held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Sheba Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
ACC Onoja’s award celebrates his commitment to intelligence-driven operations, swift response strategies, and groundbreaking interventions in tackling illegal mining across the country. His leadership of the Mining Marshals has been widely praised for significantly strengthening Nigeria’s mineral assets protection architecture.

The event also witnessed the honouring of other distinguished Nigerians whose contributions have advanced security, governance, and national development.
