The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has congratulated the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on his recent promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), describing the elevation as a well-earned recognition of his professionalism and unwavering commitment to strengthening Police–Public relations in Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of the Association, CRAN President, Mr. Olalekan Olabulo, praised DCP Adejobi’s remarkable leadership style, noting that his tenure as the Force Public Relations Officer has significantly improved communication between the Nigeria Police Force and the media.
“DCP Adejobi has shown uncommon dedication, openness, and professionalism in handling the sensitive task of police communication. His transparency and accessibility have not only fostered trust between the Police and journalists but have also helped promote accurate and responsible crime reportage across the country,” Mr. Olabulo said.
He commended the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for recognizing DCP Adejobi’s contributions and rewarding his outstanding service with this well-deserved promotion.
Mr. Olabulo further acknowledged DCP Adejobi’s constant engagement with crime reporters and his readiness to collaborate with the media in combating misinformation and projecting a positive image of the Force.
“Under his leadership, CRAN has enjoyed a seamless working relationship with the Police. His support for our members has made our duties easier and more impactful. We are proud to associate with him and confident that he will excel even more in this new role,” the CRAN President added.
The Association reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Nigeria Police Force under DCP Adejobi’s leadership to promote public safety, responsible journalism, and national security.
On behalf of all members, Mr. Olabulo wished DCP Adejobi continued success, divine wisdom, and protection as he assumes greater responsibilities in the service of the nation.
