In a heartwarming move on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the Lagos State Government handed over an official vehicle to the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) in Lagos — a major boost to support their daily activities and mobility.
The vehicle was presented by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, on behalf of the government. He applauded the impactful role the officers’ wives play in supporting the police force, stating that the donation was a recognition of their dedication and unseen efforts behind the scenes.

“The government sees and appreciates your contributions. This vehicle is to enhance your effectiveness and ease your movement,” CP Jimoh declared.
Receiving the keys with gratitude, Chairperson of Lagos POWA, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Jimoh, showered praises on the state government and thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the generous gesture.

“We are truly grateful to His Excellency for remembering us and for fostering a secure Lagos through provision of patrol vehicles, security gadgets, and improved logistics to our husband” she said.
With this donation, the Lagos State Government once again reinforces its commitment to supporting not just frontline officers but the families who stand solidly behind them.
