Prince Emeka Ojukwu Unveils Humanitarian Plan to Tackle Sudan Crisis, Calls for Unhindered Aid Access
Carrefour, Possotome, Benin Republic — Prince Emeka Ojukwu, popularly known as The Prince of Peace, has unveiled a far-reaching humanitarian plan aimed at addressing the escalating crisis in Sudan, where years of armed conflict have devastated the nation’s economy and left millions of civilians facing hunger, displacement, and medical emergencies.
Expressing deep concern over the suffering of innocent citizens, Prince Ojukwu described the situation in Sudan as a moral challenge to the global community. He stressed that urgent action is required to prevent further loss of lives.
“The people of Sudan are suffering, and the time to act is now. All warring factions must allow food, clean water, and medical supplies to reach those in desperate need,” he said.
According to him, the proposed plan prioritizes the protection and smooth delivery of humanitarian assistance through internationally recognized United Nations agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), and UNICEF. He also highlighted the importance of rebuilding critical infrastructure and housing in conflict-affected communities to support long-term recovery and stability.
Prince Ojukwu further called for the strict enforcement of international humanitarian law to ensure civilians have access to basic necessities and that humanitarian corridors remain open and secure.
“International law must be respected. Aid convoys should be allowed to enter and exit safely without intimidation or obstruction,” he emphasized.
He announced that the Africa Global Peace Summit 2026 will extensively deliberate on the Sudan conflict, alongside other ongoing crises in Libya, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and several other African nations. The summit, he noted, will bring together key stakeholders to chart practical pathways toward lasting peace and development across the continent.
Prince Ojukwu concluded by calling on governments, international bodies, humanitarian organizations, and peace advocates to collaborate in ending conflicts and restoring dignity and hope to affected populations.
